How does the Roma Pass work?

If you decide to take advantage of the Roma Pass, you must collect it on your arrival in Rome, similar to the 72-hour version of the Omnia Card Rome.

To do this, select a desired collection date in the booking process before purchasing, which can be no earlier than 24 hours and up to six months after the ticket purchase.

Conclusion - Our Experience with the Roma Pass:

The Roma Pass is extremely popular among visitors to the Eternal City. This discount card is very cheap to buy, which confirms the high demand. If you want to visit Rome in 2-3 days and see the most important things, this pass is definitely a very good choice.

It is important to note that only the first two sights are free of charge, or, in the case of the 72-hour option, the first two sights are free of charge. Therefore, you should consider which things to do in Rome.

In our experience, the Roma Pass is particularly practical, as public transport can be used free of charge. Therefore, we were able to fully enjoy our sightseeing program during our city trip without having to buy individual metro tickets each time—very convenient!

However, this pass has 2 disadvantages, in our opinion. If you’re only spending a weekend in Rome, you don’t want to have to pick up your combined pass on-site, as you want to arrive in the city first.

Fortunately, however, the pick-up locations are well situated, so this factor only plays a minor role. It is best to collect your pass directly upon arrival at one of Rome’s airports or Termini station.

If you plan to explore the Vatican in detail, the Omnia Card Rome could also be a good choice. Overall, however, we can recommend the Roma Pass with a clear conscience. The pass offers plenty of savings potential and makes visiting the Italian capital much more effortless.
