Our Experience with the Rome Omnia Card:
The Omnia Card focuses primarily on the highlights of the Vatican. You receive an official audio guide for St. Peter’s Basilica (admission to St. Peter’s Basilica is free anyway) and enjoy fast-track entry to the Vatican Museums.
If you opt for two selectable tickets, including the Colosseum, you can access the most important sights in Rome. In addition, you can take part in as many hop-on hop-off tours as you like within your chosen time period.
The 72-hour Vatican Pass even eliminates potential costs for public transportation, so you can move around Rome without having to buy separate metro tickets each time. We also found a visit to the Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano extremely exciting, as it is one of the five papal basilicas in Rome and enjoys a high status.
The Omnia Card’s price is relatively high, so we recommend alternative passes such as the Turbopass or the Rome Tourist Card. We also find it inconvenient that the 72-hour pass has to be collected on-site.
Although collecting the Omnia Card was absolutely straightforward in our case, we would still like to see a digital solution by email. However, if you use the Vatican Pass properly, you will definitely save a few euros on entrance fees.
