Select Visitor Time Slots for heavily frequented Sights:
When booking your Rome Turbo Pass, you should have already reserved the desired visiting period for the Colosseum and the Vatican Museums. There is limited visitor capacity for both highlights, so you are guaranteed entry if you book in good time.
In our experience, the best time to visit the Colosseum and the Vatican is on two different days. The latter gets particularly crowded, so you should allow considerably more time for a visit. You can easily visit all the other sights without a reservation.
How Rome's Turbopass works:
Like the Rome Tourist Card, the Turbopass is sent to you in digital form by email after purchase. This pass contains several tickets that you can conveniently show on-site via smartphone. Of course, you can also print out your tickets in advance and show them on-site.
If you have booked an airport transfer, you will also receive an email voucher. By clicking on the corresponding option, you can also book local transport tickets for Rome’s metro, buses, etc.
Pick up your Ticket for Public Transportation in Rome:
Please note that the ticket for local transport must be collected in person in Rome. The pick-up point is located at “Trips to Rome” at Piazza dei Cinquecento 51, opposite a pharmacy at Termini Central Station.
A voucher for collecting your local transport ticket in Rome will be sent to you by email, along with your Turbopass. Apart from the ticket, which entitles you to use public transport, you do not have to collect anything in Rome.
We strongly recommend that you also check your spam folder, as emails from ticket providers are often incorrectly classified as spam. Your pass is valid from the first use and is, therefore, automatically activated.
In addition to the discount card, you will also receive the Rome City Pass app, which contains several audio guides, various routes, and important information on how to use the pass effectively.
Use Hop-On Hop-Off Buses:
Like the Rome Explorer Pass or the Omnia Card Rome, the Turbopass allows you to take part in city tours free of charge. Use the city’s hop-on, hop-off buses for 48 hours! You can start your tour at any bus stop and hop on and off at any time during the validity period of your Turbopass.
Free Wi-Fi and an audio guide are available on board each bus in 8 languages. The buses shuttle back and forth between 8 interesting stops:
- Termini station
- Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore
- Colosseum (Roman Forum, Palatine Hill)
- Circus Maximus
- Piazza Venezia (Pantheon, Capitoline Museums, Monumento a Vittorio Emanuele II)
- Vatican City (St. Peter’s Basilica, Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, Castel Sant’Angelo, Vatican Gardens)
- Trevi Fountain
- Piazza Barberini (Spanish Steps, Villa Borghese, Via del Corso)
A complete city tour by hop-on, hop-off bus takes around 1 hour and 45 minutes. In summer, the buses run every 20 minutes, while in winter, they run every 40 minutes.
Free Guided Tour of Rome:
A free city tour is included in the Rome City Pass. The tour lasts a total of 90 minutes and starts at the picturesque Piazza Navona, one of the most beautiful squares in Rome:
- Piazza Navona
- Palazzo Madama
- Pantheon
- Piazza di Pietra
- Tempio di Adriano
- Palazzo Colonna
- Trevi Fountain
The exact meeting point for the city tour is: “Touristation Navona” address: Piazza Navona 25: Piazza Navona 25. Without a Turbo Pass, adults pay 12 euros and young people 6 euros.
Airport Transfer with the Rome City Pass:
The ticket for the airport transfer in Rome is valid for a return journey and does not depend on the validity period of your Turbo Pass. With the shuttle transfer, you can arrive flexibly before your sightseeing activities start in Rome and depart after they have finished.
You will receive the airport shuttle tickets and your Turbopass by email. Please check the travel times before booking to ensure that they match your flight times.
The airport shuttle can be booked for both airports in Rome:
- Fiumicino Airport (Leonardo da Vinci Airport)
- Ciampino Airport
The shuttle buses have free Wi-Fi on board. There is currently one trip per hour. It is recommended that you be at the bus stop at least 15 minutes before departure.
